Hey Guys,

Just wondering if there is a source for off the shelf forged pistons for a 292? Ive been searching for a while and cant seem to find any definitive answers.

Thanks,

Rob

How about single pistons, even used is good? I just picked up a set of 5 Ross pistons and rods, the 6th had a wristpin problem and took out the engine. The other 5 are good but I'll need one more (040) to complete the set.

So are they similar to a SBC piston? I guess thats where im a little confused, if the right bore was found, will the wrist pin fit? How does that all work?

Were the used pistons you found specifically for a 292?

Thanks again.

Coastal,

Yes, they were from a 292 circle track car in NC. They're in the mail right now, so I don't have any pics. They're supposedly flat tops, and I got the head w roller rockers and guide plates to go with it. Sooner or later I'll have enough misc parts to actually assemble something fun.
