Jay,
I've got a good supply of .040 mains here if that helps. Send me an email: stovebolt651@yahoo.com
Slim,
Do you have any 0.040 under rod bearings? We're trying to use my 302 GMC rods in a 192 cid Ford tractor engine. That will let us have some JE domed piston made .

Ron,
I will look and see what I have. Just to be sure, do you need the wide or narrow bearings?
Slim,
We're going to narrow the rods to fit the Ford crank so it shouldn't matter.

Bit of info: We've decided to have a set of 7" Crower rods made with the 1.88" Honda rod journal. That way we can offset grind the crank for another 3/8" stroke.
Ron
Eeek!
Pushing the envelope, yes?
Love it!
That's what they have been doing to Nascar engines for a while.
Use the Honda size journal, smaller journals = lighter weight crank,& have a larger radius so the crank is stronger that way.
MBHD
Exactly. This engine is going in a pulling tractor. They can't exceed 2600 rpm during the pull.
It's kinds fun to hot-rod these old design, inline engines, especially when the owner wants to win and has a good budget. It sure makes you think and figure out ways to make power without much to work with.

Back in the 90's a friend of mine worked on a team that built an M Farmall that was seriously worked. All I remember is it ended up running a 650 holley on a 12" stack for best power. It set records. They spoke in a whole different language it seemed like at the time.
