It's no joke that parts are hard as hell to find for a chevy 250 when it comes to performance. Anyways can anyone ease the pain of my searching and point me towards any sites that sell fuel injection kits for a chevy 250. I know Clifford used to sell one but they seem to have removed it from their web site. I'm lookin to do a full rebuild on my six that's in my 71 nova but am looking to get a LOT more out of it then what it's putting out. The only non stock pieces right now are clifford intake and headers with a holley 390 carb but i would prefer injection over carb.
Thanks

I would recomend a Holley TBI system.
Here is one at Summit.

It is a 670 CFM 2 bbl and programmable. It will be a little large but should still work good.

Any problems with using one of the Holley TBI systems that is specified for a V8 on an L6 engine?

Not really, other than it will be on the large side. I think the injectors are rated to 300 hp.

It would be nice if they made a 350-400 CFM unit.

Ton can you post a picture of your Clifford intake with the injector bungs?, that with a TPI throttle body would allow easier and more precise tuning..

Here are the 2 different ones I have. One made by me the other a newer intake that came with enough material to machine as is and no heating provisions.

Other than the actual injector connectors there is no reason why you cannot use a GM TBI with the holley box. $30 at the local wreckers will yield a GM TBI unit. Sell the big holley one and get some $$ back.

I'm planning on using one of these elbow adaptors slong witha Clifford intake ( http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-3848/) that will allow the use of a GM TPI or Ford throttle body, Edelbrock also makes one in a low profile.

Holley offers the following Throttle Body Fuel Injection Systems:

Commander 950-19S....400 CFM....225 HP
Commander 950-20S....670 CFM....275 HP (Recommended for engines over 200 hp)

how much do you need to put in to a 250 to get around 300-325 hp out of it? what all would it take if i decided to stick with a carb and put more into the rebuild?
A small turbo set-up will do just fine.
