A new slant six door slammer record of 9.93 at 132 mph, was set this weekend. The record was set at the slant six race during the Tri-state Chrysler Classic, in Hamilton Ohio. Set by Charles Myers of North Carolina, in a 79? Plymouth Arrow. Wish I could have been there to see it. Charles is not a member of the Inliners, but I thought he deserved recognition here.

I think that car has mechincal injection from Ron's on alky. A little giggle gas from a NOS fogger system. I seen it a magazine but it was some time ago.

That sounds like the same car. I was not at Hamilton, but 2 weeks previous, I saw him run a 10.24 at Bristol TN. with a corrected altitude of 1800 ft.
We have another Slant Six race coming up , July 18-20, at Clay City KY.
Last year we had 26 Slant powered cars, at this meet, 6 of which could run in the 10's. Had a fast four shoot out, on a heads up pro tree. This year hoping to break 30 cars.
Our slant six races are open to any one, with the only rule being, the engine must be a Chrysler slant six.

Here is a photo of Charles with the trophy the Chrysler Classic folks awarded for the person running the first SL6 9 second pass. (They also gave him $250.00)
