Question-Was the hard top available only in the
Bel Air in 1953? The reason I ask is I owned a
'53 2 door hard top in the early 60's and it had
no Bel Air trim on it and no chrome on the dash.
I didn't think it had been tampered with.

Thanks
Gordy

Thanks. For what it's worth I was the second owner of the car. I bought it from a mechanic
who worked at a local Chevy dealership. He was a
really cool guy,he helped me keep the old girl
tuned up.When he owned the car he had installed
a set of cast iron headers and a different carb.
I don't remember what kind of headers they were
or what the carb was,but she sure ran good.It
had the shortest glass packs on it you could buy
at that time,it was LOUD.The guy I bought it from
said it sounded like a B-29 in a power dive.
Well,

I am just rambelling on.
Thanks to both of you for the info.

Gordy

P.S. Wish I hadn't sold it.

210's were availble from 52-57. They were sedans, hardtops, convertibles and even station wagons. I have a friend who bought a 54 210 hardtop new and still has a picture of it. It was a package which included all vinly interior and was the first of the chevorlet line to be equipt with Power steering installed at the manufacturing facility
