Larry,
Is the Chevy II still a streetable or is it purely a race car? Our first chance to run is April 1 and ALWAYS skip this one as there are just too many oil downs.

Watching your video is good for motivation. Thanks!

The car is still DOT street Legal. But the 5:13s Kinda put a damper On the Street driving LOL
But the whole combo was a daily driver with different gears for the street and the car ran Upper 14s with 3:70s and those gears Never made it into the car till about 12 yrs Later The motor was built back in 84 and spents all it's time with the stock 3:08s and running 15:15 flat anytime of day 24-7 so them 14:3s are on a 17year old motor Build and a full Inter. full wheel tubs and a 8 point roll bar And Yes the car has a back seat for Two. car weights in at 3000lbs with me and 16 gallons Of fuel. I hope to have the New motor Is some time soon. In the mean time I will be working on getting some more ET runs and Burn outs Up on the site. It takes time to get it off my VHS and edited to fit DvD/Cd and at the same time Formated for the Net. and I'm still kinda green with this software, but i think i have a pretty good handle on it now \:\)

And Thanks for the input Guys.

Now I know why they call you 'Twisted' . What a great burnout!
Posted By: Twisted6 Re: 1/4 14.3 run - 03/08/06 10:22 PM
That is a mild burn out as to how it used to Move about from one side to the other. and It was only a matter of a small change on the Old traction/slapper bars. The CalTrac bar really clean up the Burn out Movement. depending which Nubber I adjusted would depend On which way the rear moved (left or right)alot of people got a Big kick out of it But Not The smartest way(or safest) to be doing Burn outs. But I'll get them videos Up in time. again Thanks for the inputs.

The car is setup for the 1/4 so I don't change anything for it to run 1/8 but is runs 9s.

what do you expect with the new motor?

and, pardon my forgetfulness. but, what does the new engine consist of, exactley? another 250? curiosity is getting the best of me.

.later days.

Posted By: Twisted6 Re: 1/4 14.3 run - 03/11/06 08:44 PM
Yes it will be another .030 over 250 either 12-1 or 13-1 Shooting for the 13-1 But I'll be happy with the 12-1 The Cam will be One i had ground
In. 691 ex. 680 Lift Dur.in.269 ex.272 Lobe center 105 The Piston are from the Old motor But changes have been made to them to clear the New Lifts Plus they have been Floated(wriste pins) and a Fire slot has been Cut. As what to as what it will do ? The Plain is shooting for Low 12s if not a High 11s And Hopeing my New alum Intake will be ready When the Motor is. If Not I'll still be running my sheet metal 3x4.

Twisted6 I.I

What kind of intake are you going to run & who is making it?
Thanks

Hank
Posted By: Twisted6 Re: 1/4 14.3 run - 07/19/06 07:00 PM
I'll be running Mine. It will either be the same sheet metal 3x4 I was running Or When i get the new one finished it will be my alum. Intake but it will be built just like my 3x4 sheet metal one But the difference This time around will be it will have a Inner changeable top Plate. The plenum box is already done and the Head flanges.I still have to get my runners Lazer cut. then the welding begains.
