I'm trying to add a picture to a message and don't know how. Help is appreciated!

Adding pictures to a post is pretty straightforward - that is after you get the pics out on the Internet. Our inliners site doesn't host pictures. So you need to get them out on your own webspace (which most monthly internet services provide) or out on picture hosting site. Once you've got them on the web it as simple is clicking the 'IMAGE' button when posting and giving the URL path to the site where your picture live.

Take my signature as an example. I simply click the IMAGE button, cut&paste in the http path (http://home.mindspring.com/~vwariff/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/stock49ss.jpg)
and there it is:

Ok, I think we (my wife and I) understand the how to (or she does, anyway). We don't have a webspace, so wondered if you could/would recommend a particular picture hosting site. Thanks for your help - maybe I'm not the only one who doesn't know how to do this.

Tripod.com is a free site that will let you post your pics. I use it and it works pretty well.
