Hey gents, does any of you folks know the name or a source for the star shaped washers used on the old friction shocks?

Do you mean the cap that spreads the preload over the friction material, like these have?

Yes! Just like the Offy Friction shocks have. I've searched for Star washers, Belleville washers, compression washers, conical washers. All come up with something else.

I was going to suggest you check Arizona Obsolete.

They used to be a So Cal dealer, but IIRC the So Cal francise went away.

But I can't find their phone number online anymore.

There is a So Cal listed in Phoenix on the So Cal Speedshop site.

You may want to give them a call.

Thanks, I looked at the site and didn't find anything. I just need the star washer (spring?). Talked to Speedway too and they told me they're build in China, can't call there! I may end up making them but I sure hope not.

Armond, Did you try asking this question on the H.A.M.B.? Lots of people see stuff there. Beater

I'll give a couple of other forums a shot.
