It is with deep sadness that I announce my Pop's passing. Don Canepa, long time Inline enthusiast slipped away January 17th. I apologise for not posting sooner. We have been very busy sorting through his collection and dealing with the City on Abatement issues. I would like to post some pic's later to give you all an idea what kind of man he was. Stay tuned....

Sorry for you and your family's loss. Your Dad certainly built up quite a collection. Hope you can sort it all out. Obviously there are valuable pieces and parts.

Thank you..... We will keep everyone posted as these items come for sale. I had one guy call me at the funeral and offer me $25,000.00 for the Bonneville roadster. Hmpf.... he obviously had more money than brains.

Bebe / Someday-
Sorry to hear of your loss.

You could talk to some area Inliners ( I see your Dad was a long-time member ). They could give you an idea of what some of the Inline stuff is worth.

The Bonneville car would be a fun project, but you would have to destroy it to actually run it at Bonneville or El Mirage.

You have an incredibly valuable accumulation, both monetarily and historically.

I hope you will be able to dispose of it in an orderly manner.

On another note, this made me think, "What about my stuff?"

I have nowhere near as much, but maybe I should think about down-sizing, just keep a minimum of projects, and pass things on to someone who will actually do something with them.

Once again, my thoughts will be with you.

Will Willis

Thank you Mr. Willis.....
Really sorry to hear about your Pops. I know you were trying to get the push truck done for him. What a collection! I hope you are able to get what you don't want to keep to people who will appreciate it. I also agree with Will about culling my own collection to a manageable montage. Not near as big or cool as your dad's and there seems to be a higher percentage of junk in mine. God bless you all. Treasure the time you had. I'm sure as you and your family work through this many wonderful memories will help to soften the blow. Tom

Thanks everyone for the condolences....
I'm bringing this back up because it looks like after almost a year Canepa Twin and his family are still trying to sort out his dad's treasures. You can see what they have been doing by usong the link in the second post. There is a lot of great inline speed equipment. Help them out before it all gets stolen.
