After a 3 year hiatus the Piston Power Show returned to Cleveland this past weekend. Inline engines were under-represented but not non-existent.

An unusual specimen at the show was this International "Speedy Panel D 1 Series" powered by a 213ci Flathead six.

Apparently Eliot Ness created a Police Ambulance Unit in the late 30's with this livery:

That is beautifully done. We should see more internationals. I always liked that International body style. A friend back in my surfing days had a '36 woodie. It was rough but cool. For several years I had a 1940 D-40 rated at 2-3 tons. crazy 16' flatbed. It had a Blue Diamond overhead six, the 250 version I think and a 5 speed trans. I hauled a lot of heavy loads with it including two loads of barn wood over Carson Pass from near Stockton, CA. It still shows up at Hot August Nights with it's new owners. The bed is 2' shorter but it still has my paint job! cool

Nice. I'd love to have one as a Tow rig.
