I think GM's Vortec concept truck is slick.
Reading the mods suggests that a really good
body man could duplicate that body on an S10
given time and resources because it doesn't seem overly complicated. I don't like some of the retro looks but this one is fine.

Yeah it is neat, too bad GM can't build a nice looking truck anymore. \:\)

The only problem, and I can't figure this out, is the Vortec six ccylinder is not available in the pickup and a standard transmission is not an option either. If it was available with the Vortec I-6 and 4spd. standard I'd trade my wife for it. Actually my wife would go for a '53 F100 in fair shape.

My nephew recently bought a Colorado pickup with the 5 cyl. engine and 5 speed, and I have looked at the GMC 1/2 ton stepside, available with either 5 or 6 speed, but no I6 cyl. engine available. The new twin cam 6 not available with std. trans at all.

the i6 was the standard in the uhm... envoy? started with an E I think... I read good things about the power and mileage from it.

it would be neat if GM performance would have a package for us to put their newer i6 into our older trucks. \:\)
