ended up down here:
titenn!!!! if you wouldn't mind shrinking theses a little i can't seem to figure it out thanks
The pics aren't hosted on the website, you have to set the size before you post them,in your case Photobucket, the easiest way to do this is in a program like Photoshop Essentials, a good size would be 400x(whatever) pixels, or a 125x600 thumbnail linked to the full sized pic.. As an alternative, you could email them to me and I can size them for you. If you, or anyone, does this be sure to tell me what it is for so I know what is going on and where the pics are going. Make sense? if not, email me.
Tim
Wow! That thing is sweet!
Low 'n Slow
Pete
Hey pete been watching your build! Nice car!
Yes se is deffinately low but not slow come on were talking real INLINE POWER!!
Haha, thanks!
Yeah, I thought the same thing when I posted it... Quote was not that great of a fit. My bad.
Pete
Cars at paint pete totslly excited for you when you bringing it through az?
No update on thd truck bought a house so been funding that!
Hey good for you! Yep, houses are an expensive entity. Makes a car look like chump change. Congratulations!
Believe it or not, I hope to drive it back to the guy I bought it from in New Mexico and give the guy a good beating. (Sarcastic) We've been fighting his bad work since day one! That should take me right through the center of Arizona. A slight detour through Glendale may be in order.
Actually believe it or not, we went right by you on our way home from picking up our Chevy. There was a huge snow storm that closed down the highway in between Flagstaff and Kingman. We had to take a detour on a small country road through the snow down the Phoenix to get around it!
Sorry, didn't quite understand your last post. Did you mean your car's at paint? If so, congratz!
Best of luck!
Pete
Dood love that picture o the car in snow arizona is good for screwi. Routs up been there quite a few times in az and that would be killer if you swung theough gle dale a lot of us in azinliners would be tickled pink to see your car
And no was refering to yours unfortunately mytruck will not be painted for some time after it runs and drives
Well updates are slow but i'm reallytrying to get back at it
For today i got the trans switched over the the mid shift location so it won't hit my seat now also got a plate welded over the top of a stock manifold so i can break my engine in using a carburator instead of my fuelinjection setup
Definately more safe that way
Good deal! Looks great! Slow updates are better than no updates! Good luck with the engine break in!
Cool!
Pete
All progress goes in the + column. I've been trying to fix broken and worn out stuff from the - column and get them into the = column.
That is not really progress, it's treading water.
So for some part of every day I put on my water wings and flippers and head to the shop.
getting very close in the engine now just got my clutch fly wheel and waiting on my harmonic balancer from tom i can nearly taste the exhaust fumes in my mouth been really busy every day trying to track down all of the little parts needed and its kicking my... butt crank is drilled and the flange is now 1/2 in x 20 and the dowel was drilled for 1/2 in dowel pin
ended up with a hays flywheel and a hays clutch kit to match i am using a bronze pilot bushing and waiting on some arp flywheel bolts
no need to lose toes:)
been doing a lot of reading on getting the tranny straight and indexed so i should be good there
it is a tremec 2600708 5 speed 3550 tko
got the drive line all together and some more metal cut from the floor and a mock up is the new shifter tower noting like petes but it will do!
thanks happy in-lining
Thanks beater the more i wrk on it the more i want to work on it lol
Exciting!
Best of luck!
Pete

Happy inlining
I look forward to it! Good for you getting the engine mounted! Getting close!
Fun, fun, fun!

Kool!
Well GOT the engine fired up and brike the csm jnyesterdsy most wiring is temporary as I need to oull it ut one last time to finish all the transmission bull! For now I will save my pennies so I can buy the turbo and accessories and some shifters and get my drive line shortened but when I grt near a comouter I will post oictures and try my luck at a video..
Also to note ran a singke barrel carb engine was extremely responsive just didn't have enough air flow so i sprinkled the radiator with a hose every somoften and it stsyed right around 190 next move I guess is try the fuel injection by professiinal products the powerjection 3 see how that works to kill time while I ssve cash monies (american)
That is great. Glad it went well. Keep at it.
Sorry it take a while o do photobucket from a phone here is a picture of the truck i'm going to take my photos and vids tonight for this website so you hard a$$3$ can scrutinize!!
Happy inlining!
Well the distributor is "a tooth off " from the perameters of the 10 deg tom told me to set it atso i was working on that almost got her there snd i figured out why my alternator wasn't charging and how to fix it" was very simple" once i knew of course still got some leaky leakies i need to fix and redo. Took some photos of the engine bay for you gus will work on those right now!
Happy inlining!
Looking good Josh. Sure would like to hear it.
It is always a fun time when getting a project engine running for the first time.
Yes i beed to get a youtube account so i can upload videos onto here for you guys
Well its been a while:/ still collecting parts and knowledge for my fueli jection build. As some o you may hve seen on other posts getting pretty hot and heavy into a plennum multi port injection
I'm back... At it. So i spent my tax return money on some big parts. intake parts to build my own multiport injection, a turbo, wastegat,e blowoff valve and a shifter for the trans mission. that will give me plenty to play with this month. measuring and welding the intake will take some time but it will for sure happen. gunna clean the garage today. see if i can put the rearend back together as i had pulled it apart to paint it (rust prevention) and get the brakes to new. Well time to get after it!
Happy inlining. Josh

Just curious what material did you use for the block off plate & what welding rod?
Did you preheat the exhaust manifold before you welded it?
MBHD
Quarter in plate and just use a wirefeed lincoln 110 fluxcore it was a quick job for break in pruposes only if you clean cast up well it will weld OK if i was to be permanant i would have headed it to about 200 before welding with 110 rod people get crazy and use high nikle rod can't remember the number
I'll take a closer picture so you can see the actual weld
What turbo did you end up ordering?
Also the other parts for your turbo install.
MBHD
Turbonetics t-4 with a 60-1 p trim wheel on the other side and an .84 exhaust houseig then matching it woth the turbonetics 35mm eveolution wastegate and godzilla bov
Excellent skills! MBHD
So update working on the intake tappered te plennum
Haha not bad for some plumbers string and extra measuring
Well here it is ladies and gents the moment we've all been waiting for!! Drum roll please..
Killer! I mean that in a good way.
I know i'm super excited about the next step in that process!
Very nice!
What is the next step?
MBHD
Getting that puppy all hooked up need to finish fabing the intake still need a few parts for that.. Run oil and coolant lines get my intercooler mounted up front need to make some pipe connections so i can get the wastegate onto the manifold and plumbed into the exhaust
Need to sit down woth a paper and pencil and make a list so i can start widdling at it make things easier
Gettin back at it cleaned the garage and worked on some suspension parts yesterday today a powersteering/ alternatr bracket i pulled from a blazer with a 250 in wyomin at the girlfriends grandpas salvage yard in bigpiney/marbelton
Well been a while but while my intake is being welded I built a 3 groove water pump and got the transfer cover made a hydroboost system the steering in and lots more that I haven't posted lots of pictures to come
What exhaust manifold is that?
Spa turbo manifold for a t4 turbostill has the devider and it's molded with a waste gate port on the back
Thanks. Didn't look like an SPA for some reason.
Way late to this build but super glad I ran across it! Motor and tranny are SWEET! I have a tremec behind my 292...can't wait to try it out.
Nice what clutch did you go woth? I have e a hays but I need a longer throw out bearing making it a hydraulic fork from Novak adapt just need the throw out and that's should be good couple pieces for the transfer and it's done
Got to get these injectors figured out and my throttle body and adaptdaptor just got in from maryland
What are you guys using for power steering pumps stand alone remote resevoirs?
Tj what clutch did you get for that tko? How long was your throwoutbearing?
Tj what clutch did you get for that tko? How long was your throwoutbearing?
Sorry about that, I don't come on as much anymore. I never have gotten email notifications so I can't tell when someone has replied to my post lol Sorry. I went with a Zooms Clutch kit. Came with the pressure place, clutch, and bearing. Also a pilot bushing. Bolt right up fine with a stock flywheel. I'll try and look through my receipts and try to get a part number for you.
I should also mention that I stayed with the manual clutch so it may be different.
Nice I have a hays clutch it came with a throwoutbearing bearing too but it's too short I need a 2" wasn't sure if you knew how long it was
I never actually measured but I'm pretty sure it was.
good deal i actual found one from novak adjustable that will fit kind of pricey but worth it to get this project moving forward!
thanks every one got a lot done sorry haven't been on much can't se the forum from my phone for some reason
will post pictures soon
Good to see you are making progress. Keep going!
Thanks trying to get the motor in this weekend need a garage door and to move a broke down car blocking the truck in
Just saw these pics. Nice looking truck. I like the stance.
Update with water neck I made to clear the intake I am building
Stinking pictures
The first section of the intake off the head that holds the injectors and separates it into the devided ports
Looking good! That suckers gonna move!
I hope so
I have the full intake in the turbo boosted section on here check it out
