Very nice looking!

Just something to think abou for the exhaust downpipe, normally, you would want nice gentle bends, (like mandrel bent tubing) no sharp edges & have the tubing as big as possible.

Mine is not the greatest, I made the joggle to clear the steering box, it is smoother on the inside than the outside.

Wow, need to get my sunglasses out to look at it!

One problem I see, the oil drain line on turbo should not have the lower hanging section. It hangs lower than the conection to the pan. The oil when leaving the turbo is all frothed up and needs the easiest route possible to flow.

Keep up the good work! Tom

Looking great!
Why back to the drawing board on the exhaust? What happened?
If you do not mind.

I'm really liking this thread!
I am working on my setup for a 1965 Nova... can you tell me more about the front frame (specifically the QA1 struts)?

I would like the OP (original poster) to come here & post some updates myself.
The guy spent some $$$ on that ride.

Very nice taste I might add.

The engine has been started. I did not put much in the way of boost to it yet but here it is.

Note: all the hoses all over the place are temporary just for start up and tuning.

Well I have upgraded the turbo. I put a call into precision and they recommended the one listed below based on build specs and potential power requirements.

Also went with a precision wastegate as well.

Turbo: Precision Turbo T4 6466 SP CEA-2-BB1w/TH8166a .81AR
Compressor Wheel: 2.535” inducer/3.410” exducer
Turbine wheel: 2.920” inducer/ 2.600 exducer

Wastegate: Precision Turbo 46mm waste gate 15 psi regulated

I did not take a picture but i have the install of the boost controller underway as well.

BOOST CONTROL: NLR AMS-500

Also I ran a test on my RACEPAK IQ3 data logger dash and all looks good.

Only other updates are and new drive mandrel from aerospace components was installed which allowed more clearance between the radiator and the
pulleys.

So For those wondering if this build will ever be finished the answer is yes..I have found some time to get back into the project over the past month and have been working closer to finalizing everything.

-The Vacuum pump has been installed but not yet plumed up- Should be done this weekend

- I have decided there is no way i am finishing this car without Air conditioning, It is just way to hot down here. This in turn present a whole new set of problems with the pulley system.
- My solution going forward will be modifying the steel ac compressor and Alternator brackets to slide forward to align them up again. Looks doubtful if I will be able to use my t6racing one.
- Second purchasing a BBC drive mandrel with a V belt pulley right on the damper area to free up some room.....more to follow on this.

Installation of the rear suspension is near complete

Installation of the will wood spindles and brakes is complete.

Well, sir! It looks fantastic! Glorious job!

Did you have any issues fitting the rocker cover? Mine does not want to clear the roller rockers ☹️

Adding a turbo sure complicates things but it looks great, and the power curve has to be phenomenal with plenty of torque!

I noticed you changed the charge pipe routing... was this done for looks?

How’s does it run? Are you happy?

I’m stoked to being installing my built engine... only took 2.5 years to build. Can’t wait for spring!
