big bill I.I.#4698 big bill I.I.#4698 Active BB Member Registered: 05/28/05 Posts: 439 Loc: Ohio	North Central Chapter picnic will be held August 13, 2011 at Metzger Park (same park as two years ago) 137 Granby Place, Westerville, Ohio. Noon till ???. Please bring a side dish and your beverage, the chapter will provide burgers,dogs,brats, paper plates plasticware, and napkins. EVERYONE IS WELCOME wives, friends, non-members, anyone who likes inlines. This is a lovely park with modern restrooms. Hope to see you there. Bill, do you know if the GM dealer has the big cruise night at their dealership on the Fri night of that weekend? I met up with Bob & Alice at the cruise. We have this '49 Studentbaker pickinuptruck ain' never been out of Indiana an' it do want to see can it make it so far as Ohio. If it can go that far then it might want to go farther. Don I bet it makes the trip, after all a Studebaker has its roots in Ohio. I got a new Silverado LT and depending on the weather forcast I might see if it will go that far. Last time we drove the roadster I got to drive a hundred miles home in the pouring rain and since I've only been out of hospital about four weeks that might not be advisable this time. Steve Langdon will be bringing Joyce Langdon's Pontiac OHC Firebird and I plan on bringing my 1937 Dodge MC. See you in a couple days.

I chickened out and drove my Silverado instead of my roadster becaused the weather person said 50% chance of rain and it never rained a drop, story of my life. We had so much food that when everyone was finished it looked like no one had ate yet and it it was all fantastic. don 1450 don 1450 Active BB Member Registered: 09/21/01 Posts: 491 Loc: Indianapolis, Indiana USA	It was a good time, with good food and great conversation and some mighty pretty machinery that i didn't get to see as much as i wanted. Some of us got to watch, and assist as we were able, as Tom Langdon took down his famous "Cadillac 261" in his beautiful '39 Suburban to discover the source of a valve train problem. It turned out to be one broken pushrod, and some others severely worn. Bob Garrett went to his garage and came back with a complete set, used but in excellent condition. Tom was able to drive back to Michigan with a lovely exhaust note, truly grateful that it wasn't the camshaft! Bob and Alice do wonderful work in hosting this event, and i am one of those who look forward to it every year. God's Peace to you. d Inliner #1450
