I just realized how tall these Atlas motors are and how deep the oil pans are compared to a small block.

I want to lower the center of gravity by tilting the motor to one side about 45 degrees. There will be no dry sump.

My concern is oiling problems, does anybody have any experience with this?

What is the application? Lots of Comp Eliminator inline racers tilt their engines over for better breathing and lower wind resistance. Some are wet sump and some dry sump.

Begin by evaluating all the oil drainage points now, and how they will work when tilted. You might have to run external hoses, etc.
Which components in the pan area now will be submerged if tilted?
