OCG Roller

We'll see if I can keep the crank in the thing.

Its going to be put into a rail dragster with a blower on it. Should be pretty sweet. Its a Slant 6 engine also that is un-Slanted.

Hmmm. I was able to open the cam card. It is not a password protected file to view. Were you able to open the file Scott?

Scott, if you look up the Eickmann FED thread over at dot org, I've been editing the original post rather than pushing the thread back to the top of the page. My peculiarities will never cease.
To balance the car with the 6-71 on there, the engine needed to be tilted. Gary ended up tilting it over until it balanced out, at least on paper. Guess what? 30° is where it ended up! \:D

I probably should put some photos up.

The last one, we put a Hyperpak up on the mock up engine. It moved the blower out too far, and a short ram is a better choice. Hperpak intakes have limited utility in this application, as the blower will mess up the tuned pulse characteristics anyway. I got a bit queasy thinking about welding and cutting on a part of that rarity.
If it would have served a performance purpose, I still would have sacrificed it.

Gary does great work! Wish I could claim it. My TIG welding is coming along, but I wouldn't trust me to glue a roller skate key to bar stock, much less a chassis or cage! It got it's 7.50 cert a couple weeks ago.
Didn't get up there for final fitting this weekend, maybe next. Probably be too busy with it this year to get much racing done. Still ought to be fun!

There are a couple classes.

The first would be SSRN competition. Basically the conditions are:
1. The car must be powered by a slant six.
2. See rule #1.

Next we have Inliner/Flathead Sportsman racing, allowing trans-brakes. These are conducted at Nostalgia meets, Woodburn, Bremerton and so forth. I run primarily at Woodburn as it's less than 50 miles away.

The car can be run in Nostalgia Classes that allow Alcohol and blowers. I'm a bit fuzzy about Super-Pro. Maybe.
