Due to circumstances beyond our control we have had to make some changes to Monday and Fridays scheduled events. We will not going to Az Snowbowl on Monday. Instead we have moved the visit to the Lowell Observatory to Monday afternoon. This will actually work out better as it will give those who arrive late Sunday or Monday morning to get settled in and register Before the days activities. It will also give folks a chance to return in the evening to view the stars through the telescopes.
Fridays event will now be a visit to the Northern Arizona Museum of Natural in the morning. Rich

nin6pinto it sounds like fun. I know you've worked hard on this and I hope you get a good turn out. That stretch of 66 holds a lot of memories for me. There is a flat spot on the hill going into Hackberry from the East where there was a gas station/garage. The grease pit was dug into the hillside. My dad replaced a rod bearing there in our '41 Dodge on a trip from Texas to California in the 50s. One of several 66 breakdowns over the years. Have fun!

Thanks Tom,
I like the memories. One of the ideas I had but never followed up on it was to see if our State Historian Marshall Tremble would have came and talked about the old days and the traveling experiences he had. It's my understanding that he is into classic cars.

That would be really cool. Young people today have no idea what automobile travel was like 60 years ago.

Also for those attending the Convention if you have any dietary restrictions such as Gluten free etc. Please note that on your registration form or please contact me and let me know. For the Banquet there will be corn tortillas and a gluten free dessert available. The Hotel was very helpful when my wife was there for a Association Conference for her work recently.

A typo error was brought to my attention this afternoon, to call the Hotel directly to make your reservations the number listed in the Convention Information of the 12Port news is incorrect. The number listed is 925-779-7900, The area code should be 928 instead of 925.
