Do all year 235's have the same bosses cast into them with threaded holes for front and mid engine mounts? I am working on some brackets and I am wondering if all the 235's had the same 5 threaded holes on each side. I have an engine dated '55 and one '59 and they are the same but I don't know if all the others are.

Thanks!

Through 1957 the 235 used front mounts. The side holes could probably be used for side mounts.
I haven't worked on a 235 for years.

It’s a mixed bag. 55-57 use the front side L bracket motor mounts. Earlier motors used studs in the timing plate. Later motors used the side mounts. Some 58 and up motors had both the front 55-57 side mounts and the later side mounts. Other motors just the later side mounts. So unfortunately there is no bright line rule.

Bummer, it was my hope that regardless of which mount was used that they would all at least have the same bosses and threaded holes.
