Starting on the build of a 292 and would like the most compression I can get. Any tried and true piston/rod combos out there that would would recommend for big compression??

Any top line piston mfg. can make you a 15:1, they'll need your chamber shape, valve lift during overlap, etc.

Reher and Morrison (RHS Cylinder Heads) used to do a tech feature in National Dragster's weekly newspaper. One article they wrote was on rod length and R/L ratios. They thought it made very little difference. Their quote as I remember it was " On a list of the most important things to consider in building a performance engine the rod length would rank about number 50."
