Hello everyone,
I recently bought a house (in Snohomish Wasington)in which the lower area has several old trucks and cars all with straight sixes. I am going to scap them; but if any one wants some they are free for the taking. There are (2) 250's (2) 292 (but I'm going to keep one) and several older GM and maybe Ford sixes as well as a 1975 Buick V-8. I don't know how to tell what size or anything about the older engines. There are lots of Parts laying around and in an old barn as well, the old Guy that lived here loved to work sixes from what I heard. All of this is going to the scap pile in the next few months. Any one interested?
Thanks Perry

Boy, It would be great if some West coast members could make the trek to Perry's place to check it all out. Who knows what you may find.
Maybe make it an Inliner club event and show Perry a good time for his gracious offer.

Perry -- I'd love to have the other 292, but it may be a few weeks before I can come get it.

I went down there and found another "truck" It looks like a rolling chassis from what I would guess to be a early 50's GMC truck maybe like a 5 ton. It has engine, trans with four or five different levers sticking out of it and duallies in back. I probally will wait on giving away the 2nd 292 until I make sure that the one I have selected is ok to rebuild. which will go to the machine shop next week.

Hi everyone, my wife and I had the pleasure of going over to Perry's place yesterday and taking a look around at the goodies. He thought it would be nice if I could leave a post with a few more details so here it goes. In answer to 51 ford fan, there a couple of flathead engines that I saw. One is a 6 cylinder mounted in a military chassis, more on this later, and is either a GMC or Pontiac, (casting date 1-19-5), ie: 1945. The other flathead was a '20's era 4 cylinder that we could not find any distinguishing indentification logo's cast into. It did have a gear drive generator that was about 10-12" in diameter and had a tag on it that said Northwest Electric (this engine may not be available at this time as it is on adjoining property). Now back to the Military chassis'; there are two of them. These should be seen by all and one of them is quite an impressive contraption! We'll start with this one; It is a testament to backyard ingenuity \:D This is a 4X4 military 2 1/2 ton rolling chassis made into a front lift boom tractor. The other is also a 4X4, has no body but mechanically is all there, engine, trans, differentials. In the old barn is a ton of rusted ...everything, u-joints, pulleys, sprockets, shafts, etc... Remember I said rusty, the roof has failed so the stuff has gotten rained on. This would be an artist sculpturers paradise as there are many unique shapes and sizes of metal that could be used in art pieces. Don't let this stop you from rummaging through the stuff for the find of a lifetime. If you need pictures of anything let me know and I'll run over and take them and can email them to you. Many thanks to Perry for posting this topic.

One more thing to add here, anyone who plans a trip out to Perry's should make sure and bring along some water proof foot wear as there is quite a bit of water you will have to slosh through. Gotta love the North West!!!!!!

Perry.... Dave.... Hi! did ya happen across any 230/250/292 performance parts (offy, etc)? or perhaps 235/261 intakes? I'm in Kent so Snohomish wouldn't be relatively easy. Thanks

Any chance that one of those trucks has an NP-541 Transmission? I'm in great need of one. They were common on trucks in the late 50's and 60's. Came in both direct 5th and overdrive 5th. I'd like an OD unit but would be happy to get any NP-541!
