Our 261 has the large, full flow, cartridge type oil filter. I'm wondering if I should soak a new filter in oil before installation. Anybody else do that?
I couldn't wait so I just put the new filter in the can and poured as much oil in as it would hold. I had good oil pressure as soon as the engine started so all is well.
