Years ago in a old junkyard I frequented there was a 53 to 55 F600 or bigger that had a huge flathead six, what size was it as I have never seen that size of six in a ford truck before or since and unfortunately is long gone and its been in the back of my mind since and I am curious what size of motor it was. jeff, the big ford sixes were available in f6 ford trucks in '49-'51. there were also industrial versions of the engine sold from '47-'53.

they were 254 ci flatheads rated @ 112 hp and 217 lb ft torque.

i was planning on building up one, with three single barrel carbs, headers, cam and high-compression head, for my '51 ford mainliner in '59, when the us army invited me a camping trip to germany!

Lord, let me live long enough to do all the projects I have planned!
