Where is the crankcase intake on these engines? My valve cover had a PCV valve and a standard oil cap. I can't remember anywhere else where pressure could equalize.

Dear Sam;

The valve cover conection goes to the intake manifold with the PCV valve in between.

Just make sure the flow direction (arrow)is correct and use the vented cap with nothing attached to the air cleaner.

Good luck. \:\)

The taller, cylindrical oil cap? Got it. I wonder why my (seemingly original) oil cap was the flat, non-vented type?

Thanks for the help! I haven't been around here much for quite a while, but I've referred a number of people here with inliner questions.

The other breather is usually on the side of the valve cover that will connect a hose to the air cleaner assy.
