I've seen a set of high lift rocker arms for a 235/261 for sale. Just what do they do? For a mild build up/ daily driver, I'm thinking they are not what I should look for- right? My 261 (still not finished ,but getting close, has a bulldog cam from Tom L, bored 20 over, fenton headers, will have dual carbs, rest is new stock parts- new rocker arm/springs, etc.

The quick and simple answer is they will add a little bit more lift to the valve.
If the ratio is 10% more than stock then as an example if a stock rocker opens the valve .300" then the hi lift will open it .330" on the same cam. The point can be argued back and forth as to whether or not any big advantage is gained on an everyday driver. If you need new rockers and like the price I'd get them. If the rockers I have are in good condition then I'd probably reuse them.

The rockers I have are new. So I'll stay with what I have. Thanks for the info. I hope to hear my motor fire up in the next few months. The '53 it's going into, well- that's a little further off!

Those are for the intakes (Ebay) which wouldn't be of much help, since the exhaust side is so poor on the 235/261 head.
Adding more lift/duration to the exhaust side is typically more useful than on the intake side, even on an SBC. I believe that bulldog cam you're using has just such a split pattern, right?? in which case changing the rocker ratio isn't worth the effort. For those who are contemplating using these higher ratio rockers, you will need to hog out the pushrod holes so the pushrods don't hit the head.
