I am building a 292 to stuff in my 39 Coupe, anyone have such a beast, I have seen some, but would really like to have some pics of engine bay. Also any helpful hints you may wish to pass on.

Evidently you have missed Chopped 40 (aka Raprap) posts. I believe there are some posts showing his engine bay, but I couldn't find where they are burried in the Archives. \:\( Here's an early post I did find showing the being chopped on his 40.

There may also be some audio (video?) on Twisted6's web site t6racing.org of his engine and a burn.

Unfortunately he has recently been preoccupied with moving his residence and a job change, but does make it here occasionally. Hope this helps.

Tom Langdon had a 292 in his '39 coupe before he installed the 341cid GMC. He may be able to provide pictures of that installation, and surely a wealth of knowledge.

God's Peace to you.

Essentially the install is just like using a 230 or a 250 except for the right side motor mount.
The other major difference is the added height of a 292 over the 230 / 250 due to the longer stroke.
That is a non problem in a 39 because of the hood and firewall height. All 3 engines are longer than the old 216 so you will need to get the 292 as far back to the firewall as possible to avoid major radiator interference. As a guide you can check out a 37 or 38 Chevy with a 230/250/292 installed as the engine bays are virtually identical to a 39 exceept for grille shrouds and radiators. Sounds like a good combo, keep us posted!
