I have a 1958 Chevy 235 with hydraulic lifters. Are the pushrods suppose to be hollow? Is there suppose to be a hole all way through the pushrod?

Thanks

M;

No, the rocker assembly oils another way. The 'later' ones do however.

When building my 261, I bought new pushrods from NAPA. They, unlike stock, were tubular and I think, much stronger and lighter. The hole doesn't do anything but it doesn't hurt anything either. They're fine, use 'em if the ends are OK.
