How can I tell if my Harmonic Balencer is bad? I've been driving my rebuilt 235 for 1 1/2 years and the last few months it seems to vibrate more at idle and the belts seem to be wobbling more than when I first put it back together. I'm ashamed to say that since my rebuild I've not been under the hood much, just regular oil changes and 1 valve adjustment so maybe the belts have been this wobbly all along. Is there some place that rebuilds the orginals? Are there any aftermarket replacements available?

Do a google for "harmonic balancer" and it'll turn up all sorts of stuff. See my post about the 292 HB.

Vibration is definitely a symptom of the balancer going bad...
