in pricing springs for the rear of a 47 Plymouth, I find no one who provides bushings for the spring eyes. What don't I know about leaf springs and bushings and such?

Did you try Roberts Motor Parts, 978 363 5407 ? They use to list them.

Have you tried Andy Bernbaum?
in his catalog part #R-131 is the front of rear leaf spring silent block $9.50 each.

Rear shackels and bushings set is #R-154 and is $19.50 a side.
