I found a rebuilt 4:11 for $600.00 but that seemed a bit high. There is some new & NOS parts.

It's in Oklahoma & I'm in Califronia.

Thanks, John M....

Hi...Eaton makes new posi units for the '55-'64 type rearends. With a little work they can be installed in a non-posi housing, then you have a new unit that doesn't have 40 years worth of stress and fatigue on it. Just food for thought......

John....I have seen them going for somewhere in the $319-$349 range on Ebay by doing a search for "GM Posi". The nice thing about the Eatons is they are a one piece unit, not two piece like the original Danas which tend to come apart when the bolts back off.........

C;

Well there's a factory one with all new stuff in it for $560 right now. I figure it will take $600 + shipping to get it, which puts it close to $700.

Thanks, John M...

John, check with Randy,s Ring and Pinion. They sell all kinds of this stuff and they are reasonable.I don,t have their number handy, but I think they are on the web. I have bought several gearsets from them and their prices are unbeatable. Joe
