I posted this on the Mopar board, but thought maybe one of you high performance guys might know the answer. I'm about to build up my 217 Plymouth flathead into a bored/stroked 230. I want to find out if anyone knows how to modify the oiling to full flow? Or can it be done at all? I've been told both yes and no by folks who seemed pretty certain both ways. It would make me feel a whole lot better to spend all these bucks and have good oil filtering going on in the engine. Thanks, Charlie.

Most any engine can be converted to a fullflow filtering system.I have done it on early Chevy sixes. You need to reroute the oil after it leaves the oil pump to the outside the motor to a fullflow filter, then back into the main oil galley.I am sure other mopar inliners have done this and can offer more info.on the conversion.
