Has anybody besides me heard the rumor that we may be loosing one of our suppliers of speed equiptment ? I have heard that the Wayne Mfg.Co. has gone belly-up. Anybody have any scoop on this?

Nick established himself as the "White knight" of Inline Performance by setting out to manufacture these peices of great historical significance. Considerable investment has been made to get the product to market, and if its gone - then we are all to "Blame" as we haven't stepped up to the plate and bought the product.

I've always found Nick to be responsive to my questions, whether by email or Phone from Australia. He's one of the keenest proponents of inline performance, and I hope that this is a viscious rumour.

I was going to get the personalised registration plates for my car "McGurk", and fit it with some McGurk stuff, 'til I got a 12 port.

I hope I can still do it.

Gentlemen;

Don't believe rumors, EVER! That stuff's for the tabloid newspapers & High School kids.

That head uses 41 Buick rocker arms & for some reason there's a shortage.

The 'new design' rockers are the problem & soon TBA.

I received a short note from Nick Zaillian today
that all is well at Wayne Manufacturing Co. They are in a reorganization process for production and cost efficiency. That's good news for everyone. Keep saving those bucks for your Wayne 12 Port Head !! Thanks for keeping us informed Nick.

Anybody that has paid nick many moons ago and got nothing would do well to contact their credit card company, get a credit and let them handle.

I hope that Wayne Co. will still be around.

If they are listening;

1.us inliners still would like a 12-port "street" head. Nothing fancy, just something for 90% of us who run stock or slightly modified engines. Something in the $500-$1000 range. Could be cast iron or aluminum. I'm sure you could sell enough of these to help "pay the bills".
2. keep making the hi-po stuff also.

The 'Machineing costs' are just to high for that.

I paid over $1000 for my first one in 1962 from Harry Warner.

We all just have to be patient.

I am suprised that CatDog was able to get a recent response from Nick. I have tried for the last couple of months and got nothing. Unfortunately I am one of those who has paid in full for parts almost a year and a half ago and received nothing. It would be interesting if we could find out how many orders are outstanding.

Sorry to hear you had problems.

I'm not privy to their financial operations, but assume that; like with any other giant investment, comes problems that are difficult to rapidly solve.

This is why it takes years to make a motion picture or film for television.

The 12 port Wayne head is a speciality item that many have tried to produce since they were last made 50 years ago. He has succeded in geting the rights, patterns and casting many. Many have been machined and completed also. This in itself is a massave accomplisment.

I don't know what's holding things up. You are probably on the top of the list to get parts etc.

I am in a somewhat similar situation to that of 50john, but I have recently heard from Nick, by email, news similar to that which catdog heard. Send Nick an e-mail and have patience.

Suprise today in the mail. I turned in to my credit card company the issue of not getting my merchandise from Nick Z. ie Wayne Mfg Co. While the credit card company did credit my account today I got a check from Wayne Mfg. Co. for the full amount. It appears that they are writing refund checks.

there is a new company making a 12 port head - article in last months hot rod magazine. i went to their site - WAY expensive! did anyone see the article and is this the type head that wayne made?

Does anybody have a photocopy of the new 12 port head, or any info on it.I would be interested in buying one,but I would only be willing to buy one face to face with cash in hand.Most companys I have sent emails to seeking a catalog or information,never bother to reply.
