I've been running a Weber 32/36 DGEV (electric choke) in a Nissan 720 Pickup for about 4 years now, and have had zero problems with it. The installation was fairly simple, and hooking up the electric choke took about 5 minutes. Just had to find a 12v source that was ignition switch activated and connect the carb lead to it. Bingo, all done. I have a manual choke on a 350 Holley in a Nova, and playing with the choke really isn't too much of a hassle, but the Weber electric choke has me thoroughly spoiled. I'd recommend the electric choke if you have a choice. The only con I can think of with the Weber is that if the engine is fully warm and you turn it off and restart it, it tends to idle a couple hundred rpm faster than normal, but a quick blip of the throttle takes care of that. The Holley 5200, which is basically the same carb as the Weber 32/36 uses a water heated choke system which also works real well. I wouldn't bother with a manual choke unless you really like fiddling with it while the engine is warming up. And especially since you're going to be running 2 carbs, juggling the chokes on two carbs probably wouldn't be too much fun while trying to drive at the same time. With a 2 carb setup, DEFINITELY use an electric choke.
