I just bought front fenders for my truck and I am not sure how to finish them. The project is going to take a while as the cab and bed both need work. I am wondering whats the best way to "preserve" my new sheet metal until I can get everything painted? I was thinking of leaving the fenders EPD coated and try spray bombing the inners. I know the best bet is to get it painted but its not in the budget right now? Any help is greatly appreciated..

Dear Fucho;

Yes; leave the protective black coating from the factory on the outside.

Lightly 'scuff' the inner & spray with a light coat of underseal. You should be able to find it at the local "accessory house".

Mask all bolt holes and store indoors etc.

Good luck \:\)
