any one know of a kit or documentation pertaining to putting power steering in a 1947 Plymouth? Prefer to not change steering mast.

I would check into a GM 605 steering box used around the 1980s in midsize GM cars.

If the column and box are integral, then you may not be able to do it without changing the column. Have you talked to PlyDo or Butch's Rod Shop? What about the D15-P24 website?
GM used a "ram" style PS in the 50's that MIGHT be adaptable, but I bet it would be difficult at best.
I think there is a company out there that sells a kit to add PS to a stock 47-59 Chevy truck. I have never seen this kit, but it might be adaptable to your situation.

Hi Frump,
Owning and driving a P15 makes me wonder why you would spend the time and money to install P/S on a vehicle that steers quite easy. The only way I see that you could accomplish this would be to change to a later steering box. This of course is going to take some major engineering if you want to retain the stock column.
