I don't know about the Langdon's set up; I used to have a model A with a similar set up, the only problem (other than huge ugly radius rods to convert from the Ford torque tube) was that the 5th gear was bad but the guy who did it (previous owner) waited so long to install it so had no warranty. There is also another place just down the coast from you in Pismo Beach (www.wilcap.com)
Let us know how it turns out!

i'm interested in this set-up, too, and hope to get started this fall.

i've bought several things from tom and the service and technical help from him is excellent.

there's also information on this site about doing the conversion yourself, but if i know tom langdon, his kit will make the swap a lot less stressful!

popabanjo;
Last time I checked the Langdon kit was for a truck only and it is much different to install a T-5 in a car. Follow this link

http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74221&highlight=coatney+t-5

for information on how I did it. I have a 1948 Plymouth. I installed a 1953 DeSoto engine coupled to a T-5 into my Plymouth. By virtue of the fact that I went with the long block Desoto engine my installation was somewhat more complicated than simply installing a T-5 behind a short block. Pictured is the final on the bench mock up of my install. I now am driving this car daily.
