Nope, it's not a dumb question. I know of one source, that you may not have suspected...aircraft tugs. For many years, Flathead MOPARs were favorites of the tug builders and they often had Torqueflight transmissions in 'em. About 10 years ago, a friend and I found a tug in a junk yard that specialized in agriculture and industrial stuff. He bought the Torqueflight for his '52 Dodge pickup. We got everything we needed to swap out his '3 on a tree' for $125. Maybe other industrial/aircraft handling equipment might have the same set-up.

Lord, let me live long enough to do all the projects I have planned!

Anybody know of a salvage yard for industrial equipment in southeast Texas? I've been thinking about looking for a more recent flathead for my '34 and a torqueflight would be nice.
