Hi
I'm a 250 inliner but new to the Mopar board. I was wondering why the slant 6 is not as prominent in short track racing as the 250 Chevy.
I know that they have lots of torque and you can wind them out forever. Maybe some of you Mopar guys can enlighten me.
Thanks, Al

Only four main caps instead of seven.
Long stroke, can't rev too high, cylinder head is not so great either.
Need more enlightenment?

Don't get me wrong, you can build them up.
Probably better if you start w/a Ausie Hemi six cylinder engine?

Take a look.

Thanks MBHD
That's the kind of info that I need. My brother is thinking of getting back to short track, and he is a Mopar fan.

I race vintage dirt cars. I am running a 300 ford with a lot of good parts in it.One of the
hardest six cyl. cars to out run that I know of is Bob Fink in Tampa Florida.Bob runs a 225 slant six in a 34 plymouth coupe. We run 1/4 and
3/8 mi. dirt tracks. If your bro. wants to run a mopar, the slant six can be very competitive.

dirt is for racing, asphalt is for getting there
