anyone out there used a Ford mustang gas tank in a 50s chevy pickup?? Looks like this should be fairly easy if rear support is moved back. comments?????

On one of the other boards I visit someone put a mustang tank in a 37 Chevy pickup. He mentioned that the Mustang tank being a Ford has a sender unit that the polarity is reverse of the Chevy sender, however he was using a gauge from some other vehicle so it didn't matter in his case. Other than that he said it worked great in that truck.
Possibly someone else will come along and add info about the polarity, or maybe you would want to post another question about the difference between the Ford and Chevy senders and the problems, unless you know the answer already.
