My late father did a couple of sets in the late '70's. I know he welded a plate in the middle to separate the two outlets. I remember him telling me it was difficult to weld on cast w/an ARC welder. Unfortunatley that is all the information I can add.

There is a fine line between hardcore and stupid.

I would try contacting Mike at Kansas Kustoms (316)663-3256. He splits all the manifolds for the earlier generation 216-235-261 motors so he should be able to do the 250. If not, Tom Langdon sells an excellent pair of manifolds to fit the 194-230-250-292 motors. I have a set of these (unfortunately not installed yet) but have trial fitted them and they look good. He is at www.stoveboltengineco.com. I know there are other members out there who are using them. Hopefully one of them will repy for you. Both of these fine gentleman advertise in the 12 Port News.

I have described this process in a prior posting. It's not that bad, if you have an arc welder, and take your time. The Stovebolt exhaust manifolds are gorgeous, but since they do not connect with the intake, you have to provide an alternate source of heat to the carb base if you're running gasoline. If you'd like to contact me at teunisjw@yahoo.com, I will describe the procedure to you. Or maybe I could be talked into selling the split manifold I just took off my 230.
