Inliners International Forums General Discussion Truck Talk Whats the right bell housing?

I have a 1956 235 for my 52 Chevy pickup frame (it's a 48 truck). I plan on running a later three speed with overdrive, a Muncie or an S-10 Five speed, not sure what. But what bell housing would be the one to bolt the motor in the frame as original.

I can't remember what I used back thirty years ago when I had this in my truck. I think it was a 55-59 Truck bell housing.

I think the 52 truck (4 speed) may work too.

I think all you need is a 48 to 54 truck bellhousing.
