I have a fresh remanned Monojet, I bought to use on my '70 GMC with 250 inline. I've since got rid of the 250, and decided to put a 6.2L Diesel into the GMC. However my '61 Apache 10 with a 235, bored .060 over has a leaking (no surprise) remanned "B". It doesnt appear that it would be too difficult to modify the linkage and choke cable to get everything to fit with the Monojet. Wondering if the jetting will have to be fiddled with, or if it will just generally end up running to rich?, regardless of what I do with it. Driveability problems? I know a Carter YF (2101S) is the real answer, but I've got the Monojet just sitting here......any thoughts? TIA

I replaced the 'B' on my 63 C20 292 with a Monojet. It was a pretty straight forward swap on my 292. IIRC you will have to take the pivot point from the 'B' and put it on the Monojet. The Monojet uses a vacuum operated needle in the jet to vary the fuel mixture, you can modify the height of the arm holding it to change the mixture. If Carb king is still around he may have something to say.
