So...got the 292 installed in my lowered 63 Biscayne...went over a set of sunken railroad tracks not fast but just right and "bang"...engine still running, and not puking and fluids, but is now making a rhythmic noise like rotating assembly on sheetmetal. While I intend to drop the pan this weekend to check things out, anyone here have a similar setup and/or had this sort of thing happen before?

when putting a 250/230 pan on . use the same oil pickup from 230/250. and the pickup stud from the main cap. you will have to loosen the clamp and adjust it to clear the crank while turning. tom
