I have seen reference to welding up the opening at the top of the exhaust manifold where it meets the intake to cure the common leaking in that area, what have you guys used to do this besides getting headers? I plan on getting them at some point but can't do the $200 right now. I am thinking the sheet metal needs to be pretty thin since the intake will still be sitting on top of it. Maybe it can be milled down some? Just looking for info on this mod. Thanks. '71 250ci

Sure ,mill it down place a piece of sheet metal, seal w/High temp RTV.
For short term use, until you get your headers.

The copper RTV will hold up better and won't burn out.
