Like i have said i have a 1980 ford mustang. I have put alot of blood sweat and tears into this car and being just sixteen i think the amount of work i put into this car is funaminal. Here are some pics of the car when i first got it with no work at all.
Some of the work my father and i have done is
1. All new shocks and struts(all around air shocks in the back)
2. New TRW Rack and Pinion (With ti-rod ends)
3. New paint and decals along the rocker panel
4. Repainted all of the interior
5. Repainted the engine compartment(Fire wall Valve cover and other components
other minor stuff that has been done such as dash lights dome lights some electrical work.

Here are some of the latest pics of my paint job and my engine ( I had my valve cover off to paint it and the engines messy looking new pics will be posted tomorrow when i get the gasket.

If you have any questions or advice please post. Like i said i am 16 years old and love this car to death.

Nice car, only because it has a 6 cyl.
I am a Chevy guy.
But it's really great if you keep it a 6,there are too many Fox body Mustangs w/those V-8 thingys in them, glad you are different.

You might have better luck talking to the guys on the Ford 6 forum to get the answers you need.

Unless maybe there is someone here that knows the answers to your questions???

Dustin, What you(and Dad) have done so far with suspension and steering upgrades was smart as the right steps for safety.I like the stance and the body color. Very cool. Keep detailing the engine and make sure that all is running right and then consider performance options like a split header for dual exhaust as a first step. Then whatever your wallet can stand . LOL. There are performance Ford Inliners here too. Check the Ford forum and check out the Racing picture page. You'll see several dragsters using the bigger 300 cu,in, engine.Good luck with your Stang and keep checking in.

I wanted to drop a V8 into her so bad for the longest time but after having the car checked out the frame is just to old to be putting that much torque so i am going to keep it as light as possible.

Is the 300 six a bolt in to this car? If so, that would be a cool upgrade. You could even keep the 5.0 badging!
