Hello all. I've done the search thing to no avail. I've read somewhere about putting a head from a 250 onto a 230 engine. I have discovered that my 230 has a 250 head on it according to the casting numbers. Tell me again about the pro's and con's of this swap please. And what about spark plug selection then, for 230 or for 250? Confused! Perley

Most 230 and 250 heads used the same chamber size. Some are even shared with the 292. What is the part #?
There are 2 different kinds of plugs used with these motors. 1 has a flat seat and uses a thin washer, the other has a tapered seat. Both are readily available at all parts stores.
