I just got my crower camshaft for my 292,
262 intake,272 exh, intake lift 478, exhaust 490,, lobe center is 108* , we put the cam in using lobe center method andgot 107,no big deal, when we went check the the intake opening closing we were off 9degrees from the readings on the card,, now the engine guys have been doing this 40years and they used to build engines for joe amato and tim richards when they were all starting out, we checked our readings 3 times.. has anyone ever seen where the readings on the cam card dont match?????

Are the opening/closing events taken at .006, .020 or .050 lift. Double check you are checking it the same as the card says they are checking it.

A 262 intake lobe on a 108 should open 23 btdc and close @59 abdc; is that pretty close to your card specs???.....if they are then check at .006 and see what you come up with....fats
