While casting about in the garage looking for a means to pull out dents in the truck cab, I stumbled across a box of 16d scaffold nails:
I cut a ~1/8" slot in one of the slide hammer hooks, and zapped the nails into the bottoms of the dings. When finished, the nails were easily ground off. An astute observer will notice that I zapped one of the nails into place before noticing that it wasn't double headed; a couple of quick beads with the MIG made a false head that also worked just fine to pull out the dent.
Much easier than drilling (and later filling) holes for the old-fashioned screw puller. A body man that I recently talked to said that a professional puller set probably wouldn't work on the old truck anyway as the heavier skin will likely break the lightweight studs used by the spitznagles.
