What sequence should I use to torque the head onto my 1970 250 chevy motor? Also what are the ft. lbs? Any help would be great... I should finally be up and going in the next week or so \:D

Dear Lee;

Simply start in the center and work your way outward toward the ends. A trip to the library to copy the page in Motors/Chilton would help too.

Good luck, John M.....

Lee,This is for a 235, but I would think it would be the same for a 250. 95 ft.lbs.torque
As John said start in the middle then alternate across the head.
15 9 5 1 6 11 17
10 2 12
16 14 8 4 3 7 13 18
(Intake/Exhaust Ports Side)
Hope this helps.
