i got an original 3 speed from a 57 235. i want to upgrade the trans. i read an 80's s10 4 speed manual trans with an external clutch (to be taken off) will bolt up nicely to a stovebolt 235 bell housing with minor adjustment. considering i have to find a new clutch pad with similar diameter and correct splines. i can get a hold of an 85 s10 trans 4 spd standard with an external clutch. will it fit nicely like a T5 or will this turn into a project from hell?
