i got 3 rochester single barrel carbs. two automatic choke and one manual. i know that automatic chokes rochester carbs came of of cars and manual ones came on trucks. the two automatic ones came from a 57 and 56 chevy. the manual one came off a 57 chevy pu.

ive heard that rochester carbs arent the greatest (never working right all the time, leaks, etc.)

would like to know what your say is about these single barrel carbs. also if you dont approve rochester, what about carter or stormberg, or others. let me know. also FYI the manual and an automatic will be going on a 235 stovebolt with a fenton 2 single barrel intake if you were wondering.

really 1 2bbl would be enough for a 235. what you really need for multiple carb use is 1 bbls.. jmo

I like the Carter YF series because they are reliable, tractable, and easy to work on. They are available on a variety of makes and models in various venturi sizes.

I use holley model 1920's, there 1 bbl's and very nice looking also with mech. chokes.
